
Jennifer was always hoping to become a multitasking superstar. While she was a kid Jennifer was fond of a variety of music styles, but she particularly loved Afro-Caribbean music like merengue, salsa and Bachata. She also loved mainstream music, like hip-hop , and R&B. The music she loved was fascinated by the cinema industry. West Side Story, a musical written by Rita Moreno (1961), was her most significant source of inspiration. At 5, Jennifer began taking singing and dancing lessons. Jennifer is also an entertainer and a Catholic schoolgirl, was a student for eight years of Holy Family Catholic Primary School in The Bronx. After a 4 year period at the school, she was able to graduate from Preston High School, an all-girls preparatory school. While at high school, Jennifer was an amazing athlete and participated in track and field and tennis. Her home in the Castle Hill neighbourhood was her place of residence for the bulk of her time. Jennifer quit the home of her parents at age 18 and moved out. Lopez was a lawyer during the period and also took dance classes at night.
